Vision Statement
My vision for the Oklahoma chapter includes: 1) continuation of our legislative advocacy; 2) continuation of our membership recruitment and advancement to fellowship; and 3) continuation of our present financial plan (a balanced budget). I will work with the Oklahoma Chapter Council promoting a new concept of dividing the state into community groups to provide local support of Internal Medicine issues with emphasis on rural medicine, women in medicine, outpatient medicine, practice management, and hospital medicine. I believe community groups will best meet our unique needs. The ACP offers multiple educational, quality improvement, and leadership opportunities. I will communicate these opportunities to the Oklahoma membership in the hopes of increasing participation. I would be honored to serve you, the Oklahoma ACP Internal Medicine physicians, as your Governor for the upcoming term. I welcome your comments and suggestions for improving our Regional Oklahoma ACP Chapter.
