2004 Evergreen Award Winner
The Ohio Chapter received the 2004 Evergreen Award for the following program:
Building and Sustaining Advocacy Initiatives
The Ohio Chapter has been making significant strides to improve state and national advocacy efforts. On a national level, the chapter has sustained an increase in legislative visits to ACP Legislative Day and in 2003 increased the number of Key Contacts by 20%. Within the state the chapter has contributed to Professional Liability Reform initiatives, has participated in a pilot program to have Medicaid Aged/Blind/Disabled patients' care coordinated by internists and has increased involvement of its members in Physicians Legislative Day and "Covering the Uninsured Week."
