The Ohio Chapter received the 2005 Evergreen Award for the following program:

Key Contact Recruitment Campaign

The Ohio Chapter recognized the need to attract ACP members to participate in The Key Contact Program. To do this a plan to enroll, educate, and recognize the Key Contact Members was created. The Key Contact Recruitment Campaign encouraged members to sign up prior to the ACP- Ohio Chapter Meeting, by inviting them to join the Key Contact Program as part of their Annual Meeting confirmation e-mail. Key Contacts were also encouraged to enroll on-line and by filling out Key Contact registration cards during the meeting. The Governor also wanted a forum to thank current Key Contacts for their efforts, recognize new members and provide an update on local advocacy and legislative efforts. To accomplish this, the Governor hosted "The First Annual Key Contact Thank you Breakfast." The Chapter designed an "ACP Ohio Chapter Key Contact" lapel pin to help re-enforce the campaign's message. The chapter was able to increase their Key Contacts by 43 new members in a cost effective way.

2005 Evergreen Winners
Representatives from 13 ACP Chapters accepted the Evergreen Awards at Annual Session. The awards honor chapter efforts that ranged from developing a state-wide electronic health records (EHR) infrastructure to increasing student membership.
