Vision Statement
Our healthcare environment is rapidly changing and physicians must re-establish their rightful place as a leader and major stakeholder in healthcare delivery and reform. To achieve this, physicians have to change their image from that of an acquiescent third party to an administrator providing efficient, cost effective care. Our assets were and are the millions of grateful patients and fellow human beings whose life is touched by doctors every day. American College of Physician through its governors provides a channel for its membership to organized medicine. I would like to engage all eligible physicians to become members of the college and urge existing members to become more active participants in the affairs of the college. By working together we can once again establish our proper place in society as the healer and advocate of our patients
