Congratulations to Our Members!

If you have any current news to share about yourself of a colleague that we can celebrate, please send it along to the Governor, Eileen Barrett, MD, FACP.

Congratulations to Sanjeev Arora, MBBS, FACP, who is a national ACP awardee. Dr. Arora has been awarded the Richard and Hinda Rosenthal Award #2 from The Rosenthal Family Foundation. This award is given “to that individual or organization whose recent original approach in the delivery of health care or in the design of facilities for its delivery will increase its clinical and/or economic effectiveness.” The Foundation is especially interested in giving consideration to individuals or groups whose innovative designs of facilities (such as hospitals, intensive care units, or clinics) improve clinical care or the economics of care. The award was presented at the 2013 Internal Medicine Meeting in San Francisco in April.

We are also pleased to announce that Ralph C. Williams, MD, MACP has been awarded a Mastership. He received his award at the 2013 Internal Medicine Meeting. Masters are Fellows who have been selected because of “personal character, positions of honor, contributions towards furthering the purposes of the ACP, eminence in practice or in medical research, or other attainments in science or in the art of medicine.” Masters must be highly accomplished individuals. Evidence of their achievements can come from many types of endeavors such as research, education, health care initiatives, volunteerism, and administrative positions. The Master must be distinguished by the excellence and significance of his or her contributions to the field of medicine.

Congratulations!

The Chapter recognizes and congratulates physicians who have been elected to Fellowship in the College in the past six months as well as welcomes its new members. Please view the list[PDF] and join us in celebrating with them!
