December 17, 2010
Dear NMACP Members,
Hope you have a wonderful holiday!
The New Mexico Medical Review Association has asked us to help get this cost saving information out to all who may qualify.
NM HITREC Participation Fees Waived through December 31
The New Mexico Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (NM HITREC) is providing technical assistance to more than 1,000 New Mexico priority primary care providers (such as family practice, general internal medicine, obstetrics-gynecology and pediatrics) working in small practices (1 to 10 providers) to help them adopt, implement, and upgrade certified electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ultimately, these EHR systems will facilitate health information exchange in order to improve the quality, efficiency and value of the health care services their patients receive.
Providers working with NM HITREC will receive technical assistance and facilitation to meet the criteria for meaningful use and qualify for incentives from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). For a limited time, the standard $600 participation fees are waived for providers confirming their participation by December 31, 2010. For more information or to sign up, visit www.nmhitrec.org/.
