Dear NMACP Members,
Hope your new year is off to a great start. We are writing to encourage you to volunteer as preceptors and mentors, both for your own professional satisfaction and to support the future of internal medicine.
The UNM School of Medicine is seeking clinical preceptors for medical and physician assistant students. You can find information at www.acponline.org/about_acp/chapters/nm/preceptors.pdf.
A mentor is an experienced person who can offer advice on education, future career, and networking opportunities. You can sign up online to be mentors to prospective internists via ACP. You will find this a gratifying and exciting endeavor to influence an internist’s education, training and early career.
Best wishes for a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2011.
