Important Notice: White Coat Wednesdays
The 2007 session of the NC General Assembly convenes on January 24th. During the coming session, a new opportunity for physician involvement in the legislative process, which is vital to medicine's ability to promote quality patient care and medicine's interests, is being planned by the NC Medical Society - "White Coat Wednesdays." This advocacy program offers specialty societies, such as the NC Chapter - ACP, and their members an excellent opportunity to demonstrate their commitment, learn more about the legislative process and to meet one-on-one with legislators to discuss issues of importance to you and your patients. Please see the accompanying flier for more details.
How to participate:
- Organize a group, pick a date, and complete and submit the sign-up form for each participant, or
- Sign up as an individual.
Never been to the North Carolina General Assembly? Don't worry as staff members will help you prepare and be there to guide you through the day.
Don't delay - the time is now to reserve a Wednesday for your group or for yourself. Please complete and fax the form ASAP to 919-833-2023. If you have questions, please call (919-833-3836) or send me an email (askipper@ncmedsoc.org). We are looking forward to the success of this initiative and hope you will seriously consider participation as an NC Chapter - ACP member.
