Vision Statement
The North Carolina and national chapters of the ACP must continue to move in the direction of advocating for our patients and members. Both organizations have fantastic educational offerings, which should continue and grow with an improved electronic presence. However, I see rapid growth in the areas of advocacy for our patients to receive the care they need and deserve and our members to be compensated fairly and simply (decreased hassle) for providing this care as critical. This will require the continued growth of both organizations in the political arena. Speaking to the needs of our patients and members is the best method for our organizations to grow and become more relevant to our membership. This will bring in the ACP other young practicing physicians and other sub-specialists.
