Meet Our Governor-elect
US Navy Chapter
Congratulations to the US Navy Chapter Governor-Elect, CDR Michael P. Keith, MC, USN, FACP. Our new Governor-elect Designee will do a year of training as a Governor-elect and then will start his four-year term as Governor in the Spring of 2015. As Governor, Dr. Keith will serve as the official representative of the College for the US Navy Chapter, providing a link between members at the local level and leadership at the national level. In the meantime, Dr. Keith will be working closely with Dr. Dick (the current Governor) and College staff to learn about the College and his duties as Governor. POST DOCTORAL TRAINING: Internal Medicine 2000, National Naval Medical Center; Chief Resident, NNMC 2000-2001; Rheumatology 2006, Walter Reed Army Medical Center
CERTIFICATION: ABIM: Internal Medicine: Initial 2000, Recertification 2010; Rheumatology: Initial 2006
MILITARY: Current rank of Commander, Medical Corps, US Navy; 16 years service.
PRESENT POSITION: Chief, Rheumatology Service, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center; Rheumatology Specialty Leader, US Navy
ACP ACTIVITIES: Fellowship Spring 2007.
CHAPTER INVOLVEMENT AND LEADERSHIP ACTIVITIES: Chapter Treasurer, US Navy Region; Judge, Scientific Program 2013 (Videoteleconference); Scientific Program Co-Chair, 2009 Meeting.
