Kudos to our New Master!

The Chapter is very pleased to announce that Ronald V. Loge, MD, FACP was recently named as a new Master. Dr. Loge will receive his Mastership at Internal Medicine 2008 in Washington, DC.

Masters comprise a small group of highly distinguished physicians, selected from among Fellows, who have achieved recognition in medicine by exhibiting preeminence in practice or medical research, holding positions of high honor, or making significant contributions to medical science or the art of medicine.

Congratulations to our 2007 Laureate Award Recipient

Kenneth V. Eden MD, FACP received the Laureate Award at the September Chapter meeting. The Laureate Award honors those Fellows of the College who have demostrated by their example and conduct an abiding commitment to excellence in medical care, education or research, and in service to their communities, the Chapter and the College.

Congratulations to our Outstanding Montana Medical Student

Paul Anderson has been selected as the outstanding 4th year medical student at the University of Washington. Paul will be starting a medicine residency at Dartmouth this summer. His mentors and preceptors had outstanding reports about Paul's dedication to learning and patient care.

The Montana Chapter ACP sponsors this award each year which is a $1,000 scholarship for the recipient to use as he/she deems appropriate. It is reserved for medical students entering Internal Medicine residency programs.

A separate award will be made to an outstanding 3rd year medical student from Montana. There is no monetary award, but the recipient will be given an expense paid trip to the Chapter meeting, being held this year in Livingston. The award for 3rd year students is for performance in medicine rotations, but is open to all students irrespective of their career intentions.
