Jon M Beall, MD

Dr. Beall was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, and grew up in Clinton, Mississippi. He attended Clinton Public Schools and served as president of his graduating class. He entered Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi, and graduated with distinction in 1968. While in college, he served as a laboratory instructor and was active in several service organizations. He was elected into Omicron Delta Kappa and served as president of the Mississippi Zeta Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta.

He attended medical school at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Mississippi, and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine in 1976. During his residency, he served as president of the House Staff Association and represented the House Staff on the University Hospital Executive Committee.

Dr. Beall was certified in internal medicine in 1976 and entered private practice with four established internists at The Medical Clinic in Jackson, Mississippi. During his 34 years at the clinic, it has grown to a 40-member group now known as Premier Medical Group of Mississippi. He participated in the formation of Premier Medical Management, a company that manages the clinic and other medical practices in Central Mississippi. He has served on the board of managers for the clinic and is currently secretary/treasurer of the managing company.

Dr. Beall is senior staff physician and consultant in internal medicine at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He has been active in hospital affairs. He has served on the Medical Executive Committee on three separate occasions. Other committee work has been with credentials, patient education, medical records, and health information services.

Dr. Beall has served on the medical advisory board of the Juvenile Diabetes Association of Mississippi and has served as president of the Mississippi Chapter of the American Diabetes Association. He was on the board of directors when the local ADA Chapter formed the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi to assure that funds raised locally stayed in Mississippi to benefit the needs of the state’s large diabetic population. He is also a member of Central Medical Society, Mississippi State Medical Association, American Medical Association, and Southern Medical Association. He was a member of the American Society of Internal Medicine from his residency until their merger with the American College of Physicians. He has been supportive of local ACP functions and state and national meetings. His primary practice focus is to provide quality attentive care to an aging population of patients that find themselves at the center of current healthcare reform.

Dr. Beall is an active member of Northminister Baptist Church and serves on several committees. He is a supporter of numerous civic and social organizations. He is married to Patricia Stamper Beall, and they are the proud parents of three children and three grandchildren. The currently reside in Jackson, Mississippi.
