Congratulations to our 2009 Chapter Scientific Poster Competition Winners

Congratulations I. Jerome Flance, Saint Louis, recipient of ACP's Ralph O. Claypoole S. Memorial Award for Devotion of a Career in Internal Medicine to the Care of Patients.

The Ralph O. Claypoole Sr. Memorial Award, supported by a grant from Mr. Ralph O. Claypoole Jr., was established by the Board of Regents on November 9, 1979. The award honors the first administrator of the College’s membership insurance programs. The award is given to an outstanding practitioner of internal medicine who has devoted his or her career to the care of patients. The practitioner must be a clinician who is highly respected by his or her peers and colleagues for clinical skills and who has been a role model as a member of a clinical faculty of a department of medicine. Supporting letters for the candidate may include letters from patients.
