2005 Evergreen Award Winner
The Maryland Chapter received the 2005 Evergreen Award for the following program:
ACP on the Road
The Maryland Chapter examined ways to integrate internists outside of the Baltimore metropolitan region, as well as clinicians in practice. The Health & Public Policy Committee planned the dinner meetings over several months and contacted hospitals in the area, as well as conducted mailings to members and utilized the Maryland Chapter Web site to ensure that area internists were aware of these meetings. The meetings addressed issues of practice management that would be useful to clinicians and showcased some of the activities of ACP nationally by including representatives from the Practice Management Center. CME was provided to the attendees. Three meetings have already been held with approximately 50 physicians in attendance at each.
