Electronic Prescribing Incentive Program Communication Support Page will Continue to be Available until November 8, 2011
Due to the fact that some eligible professionals experienced difficulty accessing the Communication Support Page to submit requests for significant hardship exemptions to the 2012 Electronic Prescribing (eRx) Incentive Program payment adjustment, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will continue to make the Communication Support Page available until 11:59:59 EST on November 8, 2011. Group practices that are participating in the eRx Group Practice Reporting Option (GPRO) were required to submit their requests via mail. All letters from group practices participating in the eRx GPRO are required to have a postmark date of no later than November 1, 2011.
We would like to advise eligible professionals who continue to experience a problem with accessing the Communication Support Page to please follow the steps listed below.
- In the internet browser, select Tools/Internet Options/Advanced.
- Scroll down toward the bottom and locate the Use TLS 1.0 choice.
- Place a checkmark in the Use TLS 1.0.
- Click the OK box.
- Attempt to access the site again.
