Diabetes Forum Guidelines
Recently, the Maryland ACP participated in a regional forum to help in providing care to patients with diabetes, who live and work in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia. As a first step, the Diabetes Forum has created a Regional Guideline
. The purpose of the Guideline is educational and is not intended to set up strict rules. These guidelines represent a regional consensus designed to promote best practices and periodic patient-centered care for patients with diabetes. They will be updated periodically to reflect advances in understanding how to optimize care for this patient population. The Guidelines will ultimately be part of a larger packet including supplemental tools. We believe you will find the Guideline useful in assisting patients with diabetes control.
