Dr. Sapna Kuehl, Chair of our Council of Young Physicians, was recently highlighted in the ACP CYP Newsletter. Dr. Kuehl has been an active member of our Council and the first chair of our CYP for the last three years. She is the Program Director at St. Agnes Healthcare, and we are so pleased to have her as part of our MD ACP. Please view the complete article.
As part of our IMG activities, we are hoping to provide information that is useful to our IMG/FMG members. View the information found on the AMA website stating the licensing requirements for IMGs. We hope that you will also take an opportunity to complete the IMG survey which can be found on our Web site.
There are several health and public policy issues that our committee has been involved with during the last several months. We have several new programs that are coming down the pike including the proposals promulgated by the workgroups under the auspices of the Governor’s Health Care Reform Council, the EHR grant project in which the MedCHi was selected as a site, the Maryland medical home plan project, the CMS EHR information, PECOS as well as programs that the ACP is currently working on that relate to Health & Public Policy. We are working with ACP to place all of these informational items under one link which we will provide you in a future “Updates.” For now, several of these informational items can be found at our MD ACP Web site.
Mark the Chapter meeting dates on your calendar for Friday & Saturday, February 4-5, 2011 at Turf Valley Resort & Conference Center. The meeting begins at Noon on Friday and we look forward to seeing everyone there!
