CMS Names RAC Contractor for Indiana

CMS has name CGI Technologies and Solutions, Inc., of Fairfax, Virginia as the Recovery Audit Contractor ("RAC") for Indiana. The RACs will be paid on a contingency fee basis on both the overpayments and underpayments they find. In the past, physician practices were found to be have received "improper payments" when they failed to respond to RAC requests for supporting documentation.

Indiana ACP Chapter Meeting - Presentations

The Chapter meeting was a great success with more than 200 attendees! It was an opportunity to learn new clinical information, renew friendships, and understand how ACP is trying to reform the health care system. For those who missed or attended the annual Indiana Chapter Meeting, the meeting presentations can be found on the ACP Indiana Chapter website.

Leadership Day

The seventeenth annual Leadership Day on Capitol Hill 2009 will be held on May 19-20 in Washington, D.C. The Chapter will be providing a stipend for a set number of Chapter members to attend Leadership Day. If you are interested in attending, please let me or your Chapter Governing Council representative know. For more information, go to ACP Services.

Happy Holidays!

On behalf of the Chapter's Governing Council and myself, I want to extend the warmest holiday wishes to our Chapter members and their families. May the holidays be a time of happy gatherings with their friends and families.

If you have issues of concern, please contact your local Council member or reply back to this email message. We always welcome any ideas or input and look forward to serving our many members.

Respectfully,
