Last Notice for Indiana ACP Chapter Meeting - Nov 13-14 (Fri-Sat)

The 2009 Indiana ACP Chapter Meeting is finally upon us. As a reminder, PLEASE pre-register if you plan to attend. There is no registration fee to attend if you pre-register. If you register at the door, there is a $25 on-site registration fee (which is still nominal for the 12.5 CME credits).

Also, the Adams Mark Hotel by the Indianapolis Airport is renamed the _Wyndham Indianapolis East_. Same location, different name. The street address is 2544 Executive Drive. There should be discounted hotel rooms still available (let me know if you have problems).

Fixing the SGR - HR 3961

Want to stop the pending 20% cut in the Medicare physician fee schedule? House Bill 3961 is due for a vote next week. Go to ACP's Advocacy Web site to learn more and to write your Congressional Representative.

Please write Indiana's Senators, and express your disappointment with the the result and urge their support for a permanent fix.


Humana Meeting - Issues to Raise?

The Indiana State Medical Association is hosting a meeting in December for specialty societies to meet with Humana to raise insurance issues. Have a problem? Want to raise a concern? Let me know, and we'll work to address them.

If you have issues of concern, please contact your local Council member or reply back to this email message. We always welcome any ideas or input. I hope to see many of you at the upcoming Chapter Meeting!!
