Chapter Meeting Awards

Bravo to Samuel S. Weinstein, MD, FACP. He received the Laureate Award at the Florida Chapter Meeting. The Laureate Award honors Fellows or Masters of the ACP who have demonstrated by their example and conduct an abiding commitment to excellence in medical care, education, or research, and in service to their community, their Chapter, and the American College of Physicians.

Congratulations to Gauri Agarwal, MD, and Jeffrey A. Kooper, MD who received Outstanding Teacher of the Year awards for outstanding leadership and dedication to medical education.

Congratulations to Richard B. Raborn, MD who received the Community-Based Teacher award for demonstrating outstanding leadership and contribution to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows as an office based internist.

Well done to Stuart B. Himmelstein, MD, FACP who received the Key Contact award. Dr. Himmelstein is a Governor of the chapter who has made exceptional efforts in support of the chapter’s state and federal advocacy programs throughout the past year.
