2004 Evergreen Award Winner
The Florida Chapter received the 2004 Evergreen Award for the following program:
A Swiss Army Knife for State-Based Advocacy
The Florida developed a computerized, interactive system that enables the chapter to efficiently communicate information to its members and allows these members to easily and immediately advocate Chapter positions to legislators. Utilizing VoterVoice's software program and website capabilities, the Chapter sends individual emails to Chapter members who can then log on to the Chapter's web site and send a standardized email or fax directly to the legislators chosen for them by the Chapter. This resulted in almost 10,000 individual contacts with legislators. It increased participation in advocacy efforts by chapter members and greater interaction between leadership and members.
