Vision Statement
I am honored to be nominated as a candidate for Governor of the Connecticut Chapter. I have been involved with the ACP for nearly 20 years, first with the USAF Chapter (the Society for Air Force Physicians) and since 1998 with the Connecticut Chapter. There are tremendous opportunities awaiting over the next several years: in education, as Connecticut anticipates the opening of a new medical school at Quinnipiac University, particularly given its emphasis on primary care; in policy development, as healthcare legislation continues to evolve; and in advocacy, as we continue to take the lead in our profession in reinforcing that our primary objective is to serve our patients with compassion and respect. Our chapter has been exemplary in advancing the mission, goals and core values of the ACP and I aim to maintain this tradition.
