Updates from Internal Medicine 2008

Congratulations to Robert B. Gibbons, MD, MACP and Joel S. Levine, MD, MACP, who were awarded Mastership during Convocation at Internal Medicine 2008 in Washington, DC.

We were honored to have four Chapter Members represent our Chapter for the Associate and Medical Student Abstract Competition to be held during Internal Medicine 2008.

  • Sarah A. Stella, MD, from the University of Colorado Program was selected in the Clinical Vignette Category for the Poster The Mystery Of The Racing Heart: Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (Pots) Associated With An Anomalous Inferior Vena Cava In A Young Athlete
  • Jennifer M. Tamblyn, MD, from the Exempla St. Joseph Hospital Program was selected in the Clinical VIgnette Category for the Poster Common Pills Causing An Uncommon Case Of High Anion Gap Metabolic Acidosis
  • Anwar Dudekula, MBBS, from the University of Colorado Program was selected in the Research Category for the Poster Five Year Experience With Tenofovir For Lamivudine Resistant Hepatitis B Virus
  • Alap Shah, MD, from the University of Colorado was selected in the Research Category for the Poster Clinical Outcomes In A Large Contemporary Series Of Patients
