OAT - Opportunities for Arizona Trainees

Associate journal club meetings continue and have developed a loyal attendance of both residents and teaching faculty. The dinner meetings are held approximately three times a year at the Marco Polo Supper Club in September, January and May. Many thanks to Drs. Richard Gerkin and Allan Markcus for coordinating these evidence based journal clubs.

Thomas McWilliams, DO, Associate Dean at Midwestern University reports that of their 126 graduates in 2004, 33 were entering internal medicine residency programs. A total of 94 graduates selected primary care residencies, and 32 of the students were staying in Arizona for training.
